LOCKNESS MONSTER

Lockness Monster is believed to inhabit the lake of Scotland.

Lockness Monster, affectionately called Nessie, remains a subject of interest to many cryptozoologists. It caused National Income of Scotland to rise in recent years, as more tourists came to try their luck , if they could see this sea monster.

It is huge, almost gigantic size. The first sighting dates back as to 1928. Although a professor claimed to have seen it as old as 1905. Various researches have been done in the lake but no clue of the monster has been found. Since it is impossible for such a huge creature that it couldn’t be found in extensive researches, thus some believe it is capable of creating illusions, something like  mirages. And so it is not actually huge but rather very small and projects it as the visible form.

Some photographs of the monster have been taken.

VAMPIRES II

CREATING VAMPIRES-
According to Chinese  traditions, a corpse which was attacked by animals, like dogs and cats specially, were termed to have turned undead.

In Russian culture, the people who used to rebel against the church or were thought to be witches once, were considered to become vampires. Besides placing the corpse upside down, sticks and sickles were placed around the corpse to satisfy the demons entering the body.

IDENTIFYING VAMPIRES-

One of the ancient rituals involved leading a virgin boy through graveyards or through church grounds on a virgin stallion. Further it was said that a vampire corpse would show very less sign of degradation. The body would rather remain as such. Also, vampires were also believed to have fresh blood of the victims spilled all over its face when the coffin were opened by the villagers.

PROTECTION-

Vampires were believed to be prevented by red roses, crosses etc.

Vampires were said to be killed when attacked on their hearts by crosses and other holy things.

Holy water was also carried by some to resist vampires.

VAMPIRES I

VAMPIRES

Vampires are believed to be dead relevant who live by feeding on the blood of the living.

Vampire

In folkloric tales the undead often visited the loved ones and caused deaths in the neighborhood they resided. Vampires were believed to have these common attributes:-

1) They drank recent blood.

2) They bit the victim on the shoulder to convert it into a vampire too.

3) If spotted in a coffin. their left eye remained opened and traces of blood could be found on their nose and mouth.

4) In Transylvanian tales, Vampires were said to have long fingernails too.

5) After the release of Dracula movie, Vampires were also said to convert into bats. Although this was not the requirement for being a vampire.

People used to put holy ‘crosses’ on the coffin and bury it upside down to prevent the vampire from getting out.

Some said that wild roses, garlics, branch of ‘hawthorn’ harmed the vampires.

Origin- The term ‘Vampire’ is believed to have come into existence by superstitions and mass hysteria. Everything like prematured burial and incomplete body decomposition were associated with vampires.

SYNDROME-A disease called ‘Porphyria’ was later found to have similar attributes as Vampires.

In this disease, the victim becomes pale, and due to excessive blood pressure problem, he attacks anyone who is near him and bites to suck the blood of it. Moreover people thought that transfer of this disease was nothing else but ‘vampire transformation’.

MOVIES- Dracula comes out as the most popular movie on Vampires. Dracula starting Lee folowed seven sequels. In 1972, ‘Kolchak The Night Stalker’ was released as a telivision series featuring a reporter Carl Kolchas hunting around a Vampire on the Las Vegas strip.
